Direct Injection

 Direct
Injection (DI) is the process of injecting a fuel-charge
directly into the combustion chamber. It uses a computer-based electronic
engine
management system to coordinate delivery of precise fuel quantities into
the chamber
and enhances the fuel burn to improve fuel efficiency. Additional
fuel economy and
performance are attained by a sensor that constantly monitors the exhaust
pressure.
The result is a high performance engine with a high power-to weight ratio, plus
the fuel
economy and efficiency you thought you could only get from a four-stroke
engine.
